Inviting teens to greater life in Christ

Local teens should be seen, heard and known in a fun, welcoming environment with committed Catholic leaders who are willing to meet, listen and lead students into a deeper relationship with Christ and in service to His Church.

This exciting new initiative is directed toward High School students from across the Fox Valley area. They will experience fun, friends, and a place where they can be themselves.

What is SUMMIT?

SUMMIT is a high school ministry group that exists to help area high school students find authentic community and foster life-giving relationships that will lead to greater life in Christ.

Is SUMMIT a Catholic Ministry?

Yes, SUMMIT is based at the Mt. Tabor Center, a Catholic retreat center, and facilitated by SPIRITUS Missionaries and Adult Leaders. That being said, our weekly gatherings are geared towards all those interested in pursuing a deeper life in Christ. SUMMIT is not intended to be or to replace a high school theology class, a parish faith formation class or sacramental preparation. Rather, we aim to help all students discover greater life in Christ through authentic conversation and meaningful relationships.

Will there be lots of “Catholic Things” during SUMMIT nights?

We love Adoration and Reconciliation, but these beautiful elements of our faith are best observed in the parishes. Some of our SUMMIT nights might include Praise and Worship, and all will include an element of prayer, but those who are not Catholic will not feel left out.

When does SUMMIT meet?

SUMMIT will meet at 7:04 pm every Tuesday from September 17th to May 6th. Please note, there are a few Tuesdays we do not meet due to holidays or schedule conflicts - please check the calendar to confirm.

My extra-curricular activities interfere with Tuesday nights. Should I still come?

YES!! Come when you can! The beauty of SUMMIT is the ability to start at any time. New-comers and guests are always welcome.

I can’t be there right at 7:00, can I still come?

Yep! Of course it’s best to arrive as close to 7:00 as possible, but if you can get there by 7:20 - come join us! After that time, we may no longer be in the building and we won’t know you are here.

Do I need a permission slip to attend?

We ask that all students have an Emergency Contact Card and Liability Agreement on file. Parents or Guardians can find those forms Here

How much does it cost to attend SUMMIT?

Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Just join us!

Should I bring anything to SUMMIT Night?

There is no need to bring anything - come as you are!

Dear Parents - SUMMIT Nights are going to be GREAT and we are looking forward to hosting your student(s)! For those of you driving your child to the Mt. Tabor Center, here are a few things you can do while you wait (especially if you live too far out to go home and return)!

The Adoration Chapel at St. Margaret Mary is always open! We are blessed to have this perpetual adoration chapel just down the road at 439 Washington Ave, Neenah. You are welcome to pray at any time and stay as long as you’d like.

Neenah and Menasha Public Libraries have lots of great evening programming, check their websites for details!

The Sweet Lair is just around the corner, and open until 8:00…..grab a coffee, a dessert, and play a game! Such a great place to spend a little time!

There are lots of great nearby restaurant experiences! Treat yourself to dinner, or have a date with a friend - a few options include Parker Johns, The Old Grog, The Rusted Roost, and Waverly Beach. Please note, this is not an endorsement of these establishments, please check their websites for menu details and hours.

Make a grocery run! Fun fact - we are 4.5 miles from Festival Foods in Neenah AND Menasha! :)

Take a walk, read a book, write a letter, call a friend, clip coupons, plan your next vacation, pay bills, delete your old texts/voicemails/emails, get a car wash, the possibilities are endless! We are just thrilled you are bringing your student, and we hope it’s valuable time for both of you!

PRAY - Keep praying for our high school students! Prayer is something we can all do, and prayer is something all of our students can use! Next time you are at a stoplight, please offer a quick prayer for all of our SUMMIT students!
GIFT CARDS - We have weekly raffles, and gift cards are great additions to the mix! Gift cards for Kwik Trip, Culvers, McDonalds, Jimmy Johns, and Starbucks are awesome, $10 or less is perfect! Gift Card contributions can be dropped off at our office during regular business hours 8:00 - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
